Contest Concept

Send us your photo showcasing your favorite way to eat Purefoods Corned Beef (the Corned Beef can you used MUST be included in the photo). The food shots submitted should be original and clear.

Be creative with your food shot, making sure to highlight the dish's originality and its strongest attributes. A 150-word essay relating your recipe to your personal experience is required as well as a 200-word step-by-step guide on how to cook the recipe, as this will be one of the crucial factors when judging your entry.

Participants are encouraged to come up and submit their most creative and original Purefoods Corned Beef recipe, and tie it in with a personal experience. Don't forget to share it with your friends to increase your chances of winning!

Eligibility

1. Contest is open to Filipinos nationwide, for both male and female of all ages, as long as he or she is:
   1. The brains behind the recipe submitted.
   2. Can cook the recipe submitted.
2. Each contestant should have a personal Facebook account and should Like/be a Liker the Purefoods Corned Beef fanpage.
3. All employees of Purefoods , its affiliates, its advertising or promotion agencies, packaging suppliers, their spouses and relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity are not qualified to join the promo.
4. Recipes should not be copied off the Internet. Though Purefoods recognizes the possibility of having similar recipe concepts, direct copy-pasting off the Internet will not be tolerated.
5. Entries previously entered into other competitions, or have been published are not eligible for the contest.

General Mechanics

1. Submit a food shot of how you best enjoy eating your Purefoods Corned Beef.
2. Post-processing of photos is allowed, but is only limited to adjusting the color grading.
3. Entries must contain a product shot: Purefoods Corned Beef (in any size)
4. No other brand or product should be seen in the photo.
5. Description for the submitted entries must contain the following:
   • Recipe Name
   • Full name of the contestant
   • 150-word essay relating the recipe to a personal experience (either straight English or Tagalog only)
   • 200-word step-by-step guide on how to cook/create the recipe (either straight English or Tagalog only)
6. All valid, approved, and accepted entries will be posted on the Official Contest Entries page on Facebook by the administrators.
7. A notification message will be sent to the contestants informing them of their valid entry. Entries that fail to meet various requirements and are considered invalid will also receive a message containing reasons for invalidity.
8. Purefoods reserves the right to reject images that are obscene, inappropriate and do not conform to the rules and regulations of the contest mechanics. Panel's decision is final.
9. Each contestant can submit a maximum of 5 entries.
10. Voters can like as many entries as they want, but they can only have one unique vote per entry.
11. The winners of the contest will be determined based on the following criteria. (This judging will also be observed in the instance
    • 40% Brand Decision
    • 25% Essay
    • 25% Creativity of Recipe
    • 10% Facebook Likes/Votes
12. All entries must be submitted on or before 11:59 PM of December 2, 2011. Entries submitted right after the stated deadline will not be considered as official entries, UNLESS an extension of the contest deadline is announced.
13. Winners will be announced at the Corned Beef Creations Facebook page, on December 4
14. Prizes will be as follows:
    • 1 Major Prize: 32 GB Ipad 2 – WiFi + 3G
    • 4 Minor Prizes: 16 GB iPod Nano
    • Weekly Prizes: 20 Purefoods Product Bundles worth Php 500 to be raffled off (5/week)

Redemption Mechanics

1. How and Where to claim prizes
   1. Winners will receive an email that contains their legal name. This will be sent to their Facebook account and their email. They will be instructed to print the email and bring 2 valid IDs in order to pick up the prize at The Purefoods-Hormel Office located at 21/F JMT Corporate Condominium, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
   2. As mentioned, in order for the the winner to prove that his/her identity is true and authentic, he/she will be asked to provide at least 2 valid IDs (choose from list below)
      • Driver's license
      • SSS ID
      • Passport
      • TIN ID
      • Any other government ID
      • Company ID
      • School ID
   3. Winners who are outside the Metro Manila region will receive the prizes via courier. Prior to this, they would have to either fax or email their valid IDs to the Purefoods Team.
   4. Redemption Period – there will be a 7-day stand period when they can claim the prizes. All winners will have 30 days duration for redemption. Last day for submission of entry is on 2th December 2011 and the last day for redemption of prizes is on 3rd January 2012.
   5. Prizes unclaimed after 30 days from time of notification will be forfeited.

Grant of Rights

1. By joining the contest, each contestant hereby allows the Purefoods Corned Beef Creations application to access information provided by such contestant in the entry form and to make available to its users the name and entries of such contestant.
2. Purefoods reserves the right at any time to take down any entry which infringes upon these Terms and Conditions or which in its absolute discretion it finds inappropriate for any reason.
3. All users shall hold Purefoods free and harmless from any liability in case an entry is found to have infringed upon any a third party's rights, including copyright, publication right, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right.
