Although rumor has it that Supreme Brazo Bars are not made from distilled cloud dust and perforated angel wings, Ces Lopez got the idea of miniaturizing yummy rolls of crème and meringue into bars when her son’s high school class needed a sweet tooth snack to sell for a fund raising project. Unlike Brazo de Mercedes, Supreme Brazo Bars don’t come in the standard custard-filled logs. They are rather made by sandwiching custard in between two yummy slabs of meringue. These slices of heaven are created with fresh and natural ingredients and come in boxes of four, seven, and fourteen for people who want to share, or simply hoard the delectable treats for themselves.
Other Supreme Brazo Bar flavors are mango, strawberry (seasonal), caramelized bananas with rum, toasted coconut, walnut, almond, cashew, and macapuno. The flavors are integrated into the recipe by mixing these yummy delights into the custard filling in between the meringue bars.
